Doom III Delay?

Aaargh! Zombies! Or rather, no zombies! Aaargh!

Amazon have got a ship date of August 15th for my copy of Doom III, which would mean I wouldn't get it for almost a week. In case you haven't been paying attention (tshk), Doom III is supposed to be available in the UK on the 13th, already 10 days after it's release to the rest of the world. If that wasn't bad enough, is it now likely that there won't be enough copies to go round?

I knew I should have set up my server to grab a torrent of it (but that would have killed this website for a week). Or maybe even have bought an overpriced copy from Ebay. Arse, arse, arse.
