Automation

I'm feeding the kids breakfast and they really know how to make a mess. I'm sure the lino floor is getting thinner with the constant sweeping and washing. I reckon we need one of these:

I'll be wearing these in Tewkesbury on Sunday, so Annabel's breaking them in for me.

Bunny

Annabel is getting attached to her bunny to a neurotic level. She can't sleep without it. That's a given. If she wakes up in the night and can't find bunny, we all wake up. During the day when she realises she hasn't seen bunny for a while she has to find it, and runs up to me or Kim calling, "bnybny, bnybny". Cute, but then we have to search the house for bunny. Even when she's eating she wants to cuddle bunny, and with the mess she likes to make she'd get the cloth snuggly filthy. And then we'd have a smelly, sticky bunny left in various places around the house.

We learnt from last time though. Kim bought 3 bunnies even before bunny became Annabel's favourite soft toy. Smart!

New shoes

I've said it before, but is there anything better than new shoes? Annabel got her first pair of proper walking shoes (and I got new running shoes).

When your mileage goes up you really start getting through shoes. I need to buy another couple of pairs too.

Annabel update

Annabel is now clapping and saying, "Dadadadadada". Kind of. She's very pleased with herself and seems to use it to get my attention.

Ow!

Annabel has her two lower front teeth, as shown by the mark in my finger. They're sharp too!

Sleeping through

Annabel has slept through the night a couple of times recently. She's loving solid (read: mushed) food, although nothing too carroty. This seems to be helping keep her full now that she's getting bigger, and she slept from about 9pm to 7.30am the other night. Fantastic!

She's over 6 months old, and it looks like I'm going to be losing my home study again soon. I'd better start looking at other corners in the house that might fit a small desk.

The air is warming up, but the sea isn't!

Annabel

Annabel is now over 11lb in weight, still won't smile at the camera (but smiles at just about everything else) and laughed for the first time yesterday.
