Opposition test.

The subject is asked to oppose her thumb against one of her fingers. If asked to oppose her thumb against her little finger, muscles of the hypothenar eminence would also be tested. What muscles of the thumb are involved here? This is another test of the median nerve, and would also test the ulnar nerve if the thumb is opposed to the little finger.
